At HandMade Beauty we love to investigate the different uses of the same ingredient, making the most of its possibilities and, in this article, we want to tell you about one of our favorites: Spirulina, that green powder, full of benefits both nutritionally and for the skin.
But what is Spirulina?
Spirulina is an algae, an algae with an intense green color that inspires tranquility and harmony. This color is due to its high chlorophyll content, a great resource for maintaining a balanced intestinal flora and a strong immune system. In addition, it is an important source of proteins, vitamins and minerals, which makes it an option that should be taken into account in vegetarian diets, as a contribution of easily digestible proteins. Also, in moments of tiredness and fatigue, or in seasonal changes, Spirulina, rich in iron and vitamin B12, provides us with energy to stay vital during the day. If we also add that it is an ingredient more than suitable for our beauty routines, don't you dare to include it in your personal kit now?
We propose below the elaboration of a facial mask in which we will combine the benefits of clays with our superfood of the day, obtaining a purifying and remineralizing remedy, of great help to solve skin imbalances.
What do we need?
· 2-3 tablespoons of White Clay / Kaolin. Suitable for all skin types. It does not create tightness or dryness on the skin.
· 1/3 tablespoon of Spirulina powder. Add in moderation as its concentration is very high!
· Chamomile and Mint Infusion. We will let this infusion rest until it is warm and we will strain the mixture.
We just have to mix the Clay and Spirulina powder in the chosen container with the help of a spoon, and add, very little by little, the infusion of chamomile and mint until we achieve the desired texture for our facial mask. It is very important to add this liquid part slowly, as we seek to obtain a creamy result.
When using our mask, we must make sure that the skin is previously clean, so we will apply a cleanser and spray a tonic or hydrosol on the face before spreading our newly prepared remedy with the help of a brush or brush. , and let it act for 10-15 minutes. After this time, we will remove our mask with warm water and, again, we will spray the skin with a spray mist to provide hydration. HandMade Beauty's Ginger Mist is perfect for it!
